Csaba Orbán

Csaba Orbán graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at BME in 1986 and has been working as a designer ever since. He started his career at KÖZTI and then spent two years at Hungexpo, where he was responsible for designing and implementing numerous European and overseas exhibitions, gaining a lot of experience through travel. Between 1991 and 2014, he continued his career with his own architecture firm. He led and participated in the design of several national and international multiplex cinemas, logistics, cultural and recreational facilities, and also major projects such as the National Medical Rehabilitation Institute, the ELI-Alps Laser Research Center in Szeged, the reconstruction of the Vörösmarty Theater in Székesfehérvár, and the Velence Corso. From 2015 to 2022, he worked as a planning team leader for major state investments, where his tasks included planning the facilities for the 2023 Budapest Athletics World Championships and creating the Master Plan for the Budapest South-Gate Project, including the entire planning process from organizing design competitions and procurement to site preparation and the completion of full-scale design tasks. Since March 2022, he has been working at LCP Development. In addition to his native language, he speaks fluent English and has a German language proficiency suitable for following professional literature. He obtained the certified passive house designer qualification from the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt in 2014, which makes him familiar with sustainable design principles.
